CPGA Pro Ward Stouffer passes away

It is with a heavy heart that I share with all the readers the passing of a really beautiful human being, Ward Stouffer who had a very respectable career in the CPGA in many capacities.

He was a tour player for many years on the old CPGA Tour and most recently had held the Director of Golf position at Fairwinds Golf Course in Nanoose Bay, BC on Vancouver Island.

Ward was one of those rare human beings that had no enemies or detractors and his recent termination of his contract at Fairwinds after some 20 years of dedication was not a popular move in the local golf scene. It weighed heavily on him unfortunately.

His heart gave out on him at home last Thursday. He leaves his wife Shelly and 2 lovely young sons behind.
