Old Course Hotel to the right (you can hit it from 17 tee, although the better shot is to just go over the end of the hotel many, many balls hit the hotel). They have a competition each year on the beach, playing from one end to the other – one of our St Andrews GC members has the record, which I forgot.

The buildings to the right of 18 include the various clubhouses, St Andrews Club (working folk, PGA types, Geo Peper, Gordon Murray, glate place to be a member), St Rules Club (ladies only), The New Club (gentlemen and merchants), Russocks Hotel, R&A guest house, Old Tom’s Shop.
