For those that knew golf publisher and editor Norm Woods, there is a celebration of his life this afternoon at Whistle Bear in Cambridge. Norm passed away after a battle with cancer on Aug. 29.
In lieu of formal funeral arrangements, Norm’s wishes were to send out an open invitation to those who may wish to stop by, share a memory, and celebrate his life with his family and friends.

It was a wonderful pleasure to have known Norm for fifty plus years, playing football, and hockey with him. He gave his all to whatever was before him, and came through with excellent results. Norm, you were a good and faithful friend and I will miss all your fine and wonderful qualities. I ask for comfort for your family as their loss is felt by so many people who came in contact with you and always were touched by your presence. Roger Ball
Was saddened to hear of Norm’s passing. It was a privilege to consider him a friend. He was well respected by my son, Alex and many junior golfers.
You will be missed.
