“Delaet vaults out of contention”
Quite the collapse – he plays flawless golf for almost a round and a half – gets in the lead and wow – did he start playing left handed a la Barkley?
A significant step in learning to win is dealing with the lead once you get there…not an easy task. DeLaet tasted it on Sunday and faltered… not an uncommon occurrence. DeLaet has the courage to stand in there and react to the situation very well … and will no doubt become a better player from it as it will serve him well in his ascent. Don’t be surprised if DeLaet plays a prominent role this week at St. Georges.
Another minor part of learning to deal with matters that comes with playing the PGA Tour is dealing with ignorant comments from those in the cheap seats.
