Building the 11th green - my dad might be in the picture ! He worked at the Royal York course before moving to Huntsville Downs.
I can’t wait to walk the course during the practice rounds – it’s been a long time since I worked at St Georges and qualified for the 1968 Canadian Open. Man if I could’ve putted then like I can now !
Hey Gary
So you are one of the pros who would not play the new tee on hole 2 that Robbie Robinson designed and I built.
St. George is one of my favourite golf courses, a fine mix of holes.
Hope to see you there during the Open.
I think we played the new tee the week before when Jerry and I took all the caddies around the course. I do recall the new green on 15 being hit by Seymour Rose with two 2-irons after they said “nobody will go for this in two any more” . Hope all is well Dick! gary.slatter@Canouan.com
I hope I run into you during the OPEN, hope all is well with you and the family I played St George last year and I think the players will love it
