Well, Sydney the five-year old picked #28 as a number between one and 50 and I counted backwards, meaning user “colindev” is the winner of the ProV1s for the first week. He thought Mike Weir was going to win the RBC Canadian Open. While I think he’s dreaming, I do appreciate his enthusiasm for the contest.
But that’s not where we’re stopping. I’m giving another dozen away this week — once again, anyone with a user name generated on the site, with a working e-mail, can register. The question this time is what course should hold the Canadian Open in 2012 — a site that has yet to be announced.
Same drill as before — create a login name and passwordand then login and add a comment to this post and answer the “skill” testing question. Tough, eh? The person you pick doesn’t even have to win — all you need to do is pick someone. Then I’ll get my five-year old to randomly draw a name next Sunday and you’ll get some of Titleist’s finest. And no problem if you’ve gotten a user name previously. Enter each week if you like — that’s aok with me. Just don’t enter more than once each week.
Simple enough?
Why a login? Well with the new site you can have one login and comment on any of the blogs — from James McCarten’s Infallible Test to Derek Aubrey’s Poolside, or even instructor Shawn Clement’s videos. We want you to interact with the site — comment on reviews, courses and other elements that catch your fancy.
Anyway, next week I’ll dream up another question and we’ll go through the same process. Best of luck and start entering…
*** A special thanks to the esteemed Ted Manning at Titleist for donating the golf balls.
Beacon Hall
Great pick Sydney!
I actually selected Anthony Kim to win. I certainly wouldn’t be upset if Weir provided a surprise victory.
Thanks for the ProV1’s RT.
Beacon Hall is good, but I suspect there would be less logistical headaches at a Coppinwood or Hamilton GC…they seem to have the act down to a science.
Love to see the pros play 4 days in the wind at Eagles Nest.
Hamilton
Don’t know if its logistically possible but I would love to see how the pros play Eagles Nest – a course where I’ve donated many balls to the fescue/water gods.
Royal Montreal
I know that it could never happen due to location, but Highland Links would be great to host an Open, too bad it’s so isolated.
How about London Hunt?
not heard often…but how about Devil’s Paintbrush + Pulpit
Dentonia should be on the short list….
The National
Deerhurst- if they can host the G8, they can host the Open.
Hamilton…
How about going back Niakwa or Pine Ridge?
I’d like to see the pros hanging out in Winnipeg for some reason.
Wolf Creek, Alberta
Oakville Executive
Coppinwood
Just to be contrary, Glen Abbey.
I would like to see it at Hamilton again or the National in Woodbridge.
I know logistically it wouldn’t work but the South Course at Bond Head.
It’s got to be Hamilton, not because I read it in the Globe today, but because it is a great throw-back course!
Either the National or Mississauga
Eagles Nest
it would be nice to have it at Glen Abby again.
have not played it but hear it is a nice course Eagles Nest
Bathurst Glen, so somebody could break 50!!
Id like to see it at royal montreal
