Weir on Player Advisory Board

There’s no doubt Mike Weir is respected by his peers — but nonetheless it was interesting to see the Canadian placed on the PGA Tour’s player advisory board. Not that the board has a ton of power….

The PGA TOUR announced today 16 members who will serve on the Player Advisory Council (PAC) for 2010.

The 16-man PAC is comprised of Rich Beem, Jonathan Byrd, Steve Flesch, Harrison Frazar, Jim Furyk, Jeff Gove, Paul Goydos, Jerry Kelly, Scott McCarron, Joe Ogilvie, Sean OHair, Brett Quigley, Steve Stricker, Kevin Streelman, Mike Weir and Mark Wilson.

It’d be interesting to see Stephen Ames on the board — now there’s a man with strong opinions.
