Going for the Green in Canadian Business

Andy Holloway at Canadian Business magazine has a quick review of my latest book, “Going for the Green: On the Links with Canada’s Business and Political Elite.”

Holloway writes:

The concept is pretty simple, and not dissimilar to the old Lunch with Jan Wongs articles. Everyone knows golf, money and power go hand-in-hand, except Thompson has discovered that deals dont get brokered on the golf course. That eliminates the old saw, but puts his emphasis more on what makes these execs and politicos tick. When the stories work, such as his games with Morguard CEO Rai Sahi and Ontario PC leader John Tory (oddly put into the prologue), you get a real understanding of what drives these people to succeed and, in some cases, how they did it.
