Looks like the news is final — and St. George’s will host the 2010 Canadian Open. The membership was to vote on it last week after presentations from the RCGA — a full-court press according to someone in the know. Anyway, the RCGA is to announce the venue tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., and unless they’ve decided to go with Glen Abbey for a third straight year, I’d think Stanley Thompson’s St. George’s, lovingly restored by Ian Andrew, will be the first course in Toronto to host the Canadian Open since 1968, when St. George’s last held it.
