Tiger Explains "Break Your F**king Neck" Comment

Interesting video of Tiger Woods explaining his profanity-laced tirade at a photographer on Saturday at Doral.

Check it out here.

Wonder if he’s willing to send Stevie over to actually break the neck of the next photog with an itchy shooting finger?

  • I’d like to see him break someone’s neck so the press will back off at sporting events. Why does the press need to be right beside the tee on Sunday? There is no way they can go further up the fairway and use the lens to focus in? Its so out of control how the media can say whatever they want about athletes, its no business of the public who players kids names are, if their father is sick, if their marriage is in trouble, its sports, but they have to make it more dramatic for the viewer.Who decided its OK to interview coaches during NHL games while the game is going on? Pierre get your bald head out of here, its blinding!

  • So add Tiger Woods to the list of athletes who can’t admit they made a mistake. Just roll out the excuses why you did it and not say you were wrong.

  • Remember how Earl taught Tiger to block everything out by throwing quarters at him while he hit balls?

I guess that was just more of Earl’s b.s.

  • Good point Tighthead. We have heard much about that strategy Earl used for Tiger’s concentration. So much for that theory. He should just apologize for the swearing and move on.

  • Easy Wayne, there would be no modern pro sports without privileged media access. This photographer’s timing may have cost Tiger a few thousand dollars. How much has the media he’s courted gained him? Well, he’s on his way to being a billionaire, and not because of his on-course earnings.

G4G, on the other hand, is just more slob journalism. 😉

  • If someone else did this, they would be looking at financial penalties, suspensions, forced apologies, etc, etc. Tiger does it and we don;t even get a ‘I made a mistake’, out of him. How about the kids who may have been sitting there watching him, some example this guy is putting out there.

Basically, two sets of rules, one for Tiger and one for those who do evil unto Tiger (ala Kelly Tilghman, Stephen Ames, etc, etc).

  • Who cares? The guy gets paid a lot of money for playing golf. This isn’t the first time Tiger has lost it over this sort of thing…and it won’t be the last. He doesn’t like to lose or not be in control of his swing. It was just one of those things. I’m sure he’s sorry he lost it and just wants to move on.

  • more mellonheads looking to bash T. He was right in saying, roughly, get over it, it’s sports and that language goes on everywhere on sporting fields. Garcia can spit in cups, whine about luck, just be his usual ignorant self, and everyone still seems to love the little brat. Tiger doesn’t have that luxury, which I’m pretty sure is a factor of skin color.
