As a longtime friend of many at Angus Glen, I’ve been asked to put up this notice of a memorial to Bain Arnold, a former employee of the club who passed away suddenly late last year:
It is with the heaviest heart and greatest sorrow, I announce the sudden passing of a former co-worker and great friend G. Bain Arnold.
Bain passed suddenly on Friday November 30th at Markham Stouffville Hospital, after complications from an allergic reaction to nuts.
Bain was a “founding father” of Angus Glen Golf Club. Bain worked for Angus Glen for Over 10 Years as the Food and Beverage Director and Director of Business Development. He was a pioneer in making what Angus Glen is today. Bain hand built the Food and Beverage department and was a key player in developing and mandating Angus Glen’s world famous Service, all starting at the young age of 23.
Bain leaves behind his wife Margo and his “pride and joy” 4 month old Wilkin Charles.
Margo asked that I forward this email so that any friends of Bain could attend a special night of celebration in a few weeks time¦¦¦
Please visit the link below to view information and reply for A Musical Celebration of Bain’s Life. It is being held on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Angus Glen Golf Club and will be an evening of Memories and Music to honor Bain, who is so sadly missed.
Please forward this on to any of our friends that I may have missed.
