Ian Bunch, the excellent Secretary at PRESTWICK, probably the best course south of Dornoch (follow the latitudes, Dornoch is level with Hudson’s Bay); next to Ian is Jamie Bunch, his son, a scratch player who played on North Carolina’s team. Jamie runs events and tournaments, good ones. In the middle, Sam Torrance, the Ryder Cup player and winning Captain, and a very popular Professional. Sam and Peter Alliss working together on BBC is like having a new Lorne Rubenstein book, brilliant! Next to Sam, moi, can you tell I’ve just hit it closer to Sam on the par three and won a bottle of Champagne? And next to me, our National Sales Manager Colin Horsburgh. Colin’s from London so I can’t say nice things about him right now.
