LG Deal for Canadian Open Still On?

According to reports coming out at the Presidents Cup last month, we should soon be hearing whether the deal that could see Korean electronics maker LG sponsor the Canadian Open is on or off.

Sources close to the deal told me yesterday that it has taken longer than expected and the end of October deadline isn’t likely to be met. But the deal is still very much in the works.

“It is still alive, that’s for sure,” the source said.

That may be true, but I bet the clock is ticking.
