PGA Tour professionals are reticent when it comes to criticizing the vehicle that has made many of them wealthy.
But that doesn’t seem to be the case when it comes to the FedEx Cup playoff series, which looks more like a lame duck every day.
Tiger Woods announced last week that he was tired and was skipping the first tournament of the four-week playoff — the Barclays at Westchester Country Club in New York.
“My body is spent and I need a break,” Woods said on his Web site.
