Duval retired?

Interesting to see news that David Duval is skipping the British Open for “personal family reasons.” Apparently his wife has struggled with her second pregnancy, and though it makes perfect sense to stay close to home during such a difficult time, one has to wonder if Duval is now retired. He hasn’t played since February, and essentially will have no status on tour next year, having not won since 2001. Hard to imagine that only seven years ago he was considered a competitor for Tiger.
