Tri-White, the company controlled by Rai Sahi, the primary stakeholder in ClubLink Corp., has made a bid to take out one of the two other large shareholders in the company. The shares are held by an Ontario numbered company, and likely belonged to former CEO Bob Poile, though I suppose they could also belong to the Southwest Sun group out of London, Ont.
ClubLink was advised that Tri-White is considering various options with respect to its holding in ClubLink, including the possibility of making an offer at the same price to the remaining shareholders of ClubLink.
ClubLink is Canada’s largest owner, operator and developer of member golf clubs.
This appears to be a move for Tri-White to take over the entire company, especially with the reference to “remaining shareholders.” Not sure what impact this would have on ClubLink, but time will tell.
