Michelle Hobor: 1974-2007

I was very saddened to see an article on the front the Toronto Star this morning with its cover story on the death of Michelle Hobor. Anyone who had dealings with Angus Glen GC or the club’s GM, Kevin Thistle, over that time would recognize her as Kevin’s executive assistant until a few years ago.

Michelle was a young mother of two who was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. She died on Jan. 28.

I didn’t know Michelle well, but I did speak with her on numerous occasions. She was always warm and pleasant.

I found myself very saddened by hearing of her passing and brought to tears by reading her emails in the Star story. My thoughts are with her family and her two young children.
