New ScoreGolf column

My new column on Scoregolf.com about my visit to the site of Cabot Links is now online. An amazing site that I hope to one day get to play as an amazing golf course.

  • Robert,

I enjoyed your comments on the potential for a great course on the former mine site in Inverness. As a Golf Digest and ScoreGolf panelist, I was interested in looking over the site and did so last summer when we were in the area for a wedding. Being from Cape Breton but presently living in Halifax, I maybe a bit ( ok a lot! ) biased towards Cape Breton, especially the courses and can’t wait until they move forward with Cabot LInks. As well, there is another course gearing up on the other side of Cape Breton at the site of Ben Eion Ski Hill ( see some photos from the hill which would be the same viewplanes for the course- collections.ic.gc.ca/louisbourg/eion.html). My understanding is that they are talking to Graham Cooke and that they have sold over a 100 memberships at $30,000 a piece so they are well underway in the funding aspect.
