I’ve had the good fortune to play Merion twice. If I play it two dozen times, I’ll never tire of seeing these:

Wow !
Those two spots must send chills up and down your soft spikes.
I wish I had been there with you…and was 3 up at the turn !
BTW – what’d you shoot ?

Hi Bobby,
I went to the US Amateur at Merion this year. Great course and I love the history. It’s wierd being at the 11th hole where Jones played his last competitive shot. I wrote about it in my blog at http://www.golftimes.blogspot.com.
Big favor to ask you. I don’t have the cache to get an invite to play there, think you could swing an invitation for me. Never hurts to ask.
Anything related to Bobby Jones gets my attention! COOL!
What did I shoot? The first time was around 80 and the second, about a month and a bit before the US Am, I stopped counting after the 12th hole!
Really great pictures! Thanks for sharing.
