Hi Gary, it’s been along time since I saw you. I know life has been exciting for you and now it must feel like you have died and gone to heaven with your new location. Last winter I travelled to the Islands of Puerto Rico, Antiqua, St. Lucia, St Bartts, St Kitts, and Barbados, I wish I could find a Teaching Position in the Islands I love the people, the food and the weather. Drop me a line if you have time, oh by the way I realize we are loosing friends, Jimmy McKitterick passed away just a couple of days ago but is Gary Pitchford still around? Found this site on a whim.Jimmy McKittereck was an Asst. at Islington ,with Len Diplock when at 12 years old I started working cleaning clubs for Les Franks in the back shop.I was shocked to hear of his passing.Good guy-lots of fun and a wonderful guy to be around.He will be missed.I’m now retired living in Chester NS (OUTSIDE OF HALIFAX) but still doing some teaching on assignment with Crystal Cruises.Are you still in Scotland? Slatts I heard that you and Carolyn had moved to Canouan Island. It must be nice to relax in the sun again. I was surprised to see that Jimmy McKittereck had died.
It seems that the ranks are getting fewer. I think if I played more in the fairway I might have seen more of them before they decided to play a different course. I have always appreciated the tips the old pros like Al Balding passed on to me in my playing days.It brings back great memories. Especially those money games when Al Patterson and I took on anyone that would play us. It was as they say the best of times.
Pros like Jimmy were alway very friendly and willing to help everyone with their golf game. I’m sorry that the youngsters missed meeting Pros like him.

Slatts Another reason you like to play Islington, as I remember in 1976 or 1977, everytime you teed it up there, you were 65 or 66. Thats when you had that old T-Line putter……you kinda “owned” that course
