The Master’s is, by far, my favourite tournament to watch on TV. It’s the only tournament I will make sure that I tune in for every hour of coverage on the weekend. I even had the pleasure of attending the 2001 Master’s and had an amazing experience. With Tiger’s return to this event there will be a huge elephant in the room if nothing is mentioned about the past 4 months. Not mentioning anything or asking him questions would likely create an awkward tension not only for the viewers, but likely the other competitors as well. I hope for at least the sake of his fellow professional’s Tiger does the honourable thing and stands up in front of the media prior to the tournament start and answers questions openly and honestly. I don’t think (or at least I hope) that Tiger Woods is bigger than the Masters itself. For the good of the game and the tournament, he owes that much. Part of me believes that the PR machine that surrounds Tiger won’t allow this to happen. It’s a shame…he could have put this all behind him by stepping up like many athletes who have come before him and risen from the ashes to return to prominence. Anyone remember that Kobe Bryant guy?

Was that “inpatient” therapy or “impatient” therapy?

It would be neat if all the golf writers whom Tiger excluded from his last press conference refused to ask him anything at the Masters.
