Reports are just now coming out that Tiger Woods has been “seriously injured” in a car accident in Florida — this all sounds very odd, but since nothing has been issued by IMG Sports denying it, I’d expect it to be a least partially true:
Golfing superstar Tiger Woods has been seriously injured in a car accident near East Lake, Fla., according to Florida media reports.
Citing a report from Florida Highway Patrol, local media outlets said that Woods pulled out of his driveway at around 2:25 a.m. ET, struck a fire hydrant, and then a tree at his neighbour’s property.
He was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition.
Few others details — but the story is just now breaking wide.
Here’s an update from the Orlando Sentinel, which broke the news. It apparently wasn’t made public until 2. It all sounds very odd — especially since he was apparently backing out of his driveway at 2:25 am.
TV stations now reporting Woods treated for “facial lacerations,” and that charges are pending.
Wonder if this strange deal is linked at all to this.

Last update: Apparently “serious” injuries means, well, you are taken to the hospital, at least according to the Florida police. Doesn’t sound like Woods is that injured after all…. The statement on his website reads: “Tiger Woods was in a minor car accident outside his home last night. He was admitted, treated and released today in good condition. We appreciate very much everyone’s thoughts and well wishes.”

Is it really necessary to point us to some unsubstantiated story on Woods’ love life. Is that the best you can do? What garbage. And in any event, why is it your business to write about his bedroom? How would you like it if somebody wrote about what you do in your spare time? You should get a job with the Enquirer, because that is your level right now.
Did Tiger’s and his wife really think anyone would buy that complete load of BS they told the police? It’s the biggest load of nonsense I’ve ever heard. 911 tape should be interesting.
Is the Enquirer hiring Canadian golf writers? Love that gig… as for what I do in my spare time — people might be surprised in my interest in Gene Pitney and the Welsh hardcore band Mclusky. If anyone is interested I can offer more — but I didn’t crash my SUV at 2 am and I’m hardly a famous athlete.
