I know, I know – Angel Cabrera looks rock solid, but his putting has been so poor since winning the U.S. Open that I wonder how it will hold up today.
And Chad Campbell looked like he was feeling the pressure yesterday — and that wasn’t even Sunday at Augusta. Sure he’s been there before, but I’ll remind you that Oak Hill is in Rochester, and winning there is not like winning the Masters.
Which leaves me with Kenny Perry. He bombs the ball, looks cool and collected, and has been solid with his putter. Sure, I’ve thought some of his choices — like skipping the British Open last year — were odd to say the least, but he’s come a long way from his early days when it was unclear whether he’d make it on the PGA Tour.

And if Perry doesn’t make it happen, or if the leaders back up, I like someone sure and steady like Jim Furyk.

Phil and Tiger made it an interesting Sunday and showed how much trouble the Tour has if Phil and Tiger decide to retire anytime soon.
The setup was good and I think will quiet some of the criticism that has followed the Masters for the last few years.

Oh, Canadian Club. I picked the guy who lost on the second hole in a playoff. I was waaaay off there, now wasn’t I.
As for Weir embarrassing himself, I think that demonstrates you don’t know much about the game.
That said, indeed a good Masters, though I could have done without watching Tiger and Phil flounder around the back nine while watching the leaders in tape delay. That’s pathetic.
