As mentioned more than a month ago, The Club at Bond Head north of Toronto has now become part of ClubLink. I’ll do more on this later today, but here’s the news release for now:
THE CLUB AT BOND HEAD TO BECOME A CLUBLINK PREMIUM DAILY-FEE CLUB
King City, Ontario. April 7, 2009 “ ClubLink Corporation (ClubLink) (TSX: LNK) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a long-term, 21 golf-season lease with Bond Head Golf Resort Inc. for The Club at Bond Head effective immediately.
The Club at Bond Head, just west of Highway 400 north of Toronto, consists of two superb 18-hole courses designed by the renowned architectural firm of Hurdzan Fry.
The South Course, opened in 2005, was named best new course in Canada by Travel & Leisure Golf and one of the top three new courses by Golf Digest. The North Course, which opened the next year, was selected as the top public course in the Greater Toronto Area by the Toronto Star. The facility includes a magnificent clubhouse and The Institute at Bond Head, a state-of-the-art instruction centre.

Similar to the arrangement at Glen Abbey, ClubLink members will have reciprocal access to The Club at Bond Head.

Nice work breaking this story…it gave my golfing buddies and I something to talk about while we’re shoveling the driveway…..
I have come to understand that Bruce will be running the Institute on his own account and not for CL.
That’s my understanding as well. He’s looking after the space for at least this year — and likely longer.
RT, you hit it right down the middle. HGCC will not be in the top 100 next go around if it does not host the Open. 2015 will be too late.
