Ian. Seeing as how Mike W. has an agent who seems to stickhandle all his business dealings, I’ll offer up my services. First off, the “partnership” needs a name change in the mode of a true partnership (a la Coore & Crenshaw). I suggest Andrew & Weir – equal billing, but the architect’s name goes first. Second, share all the financial spoils equally. Third, after all the legal mumbo jumbo is done, turf (sorry, I couldn’t help the pun) the agents – what value could they possibly add. BTW, that’ll be 20% please (pre-turfing).

Congrats go out to Ian. He is a good guy and this sounds like a nice fit for both.

One thing though, in Lorne’s article he refers to Ian as associate in one sentence and then uses the term partnership in another. In the structure of Architectural offices, the terms have different hierarchal meaning.

    Robert,

I didn’t know where to send this so it would get to you, so I chose this blog. After you read it you can erase it from this area start a new one if you wish.

Please read over my website – http://www.londongolftour.com

I would appreciate any comments or concerns that you have in relation to what we are planning to do. We are completely non-proft, trying to generate some good competition in our area for a very worthwhile cause.

If you have game, you are more than welcome to join and come down once a month (June-Sept). If you are unavailable to make it to a scheduled event you can send a replacement.

Perhaps you can blog about the idea and see what the readers think (and to give us some publicity since we have not sponsors or budget for such things)

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve
