The “Castle Course” designed by David McLay Kidd (Bandon Dunes) just outside St. Andrews is taking bookings as of today. I toured this site last year and there were some intriguing concepts in play, including extending the green mix out into the fairway in order to be sure the green surrounds would play firm and fast, like the greens themselves.
Though the site looks akin to the nearby Torrance Course, where our own Old Pro is now working, but the shaping and style is very different. The Castle Course opens in 2008.
