Yeah but JD hasn’t teed off yet

You’re right, of course, but she’s just a kid and she’s been pushed around by her father and sponsors. I don’t think it’s fair to blame a child.

She is a great talent (even though she’s last her scores are not far off Lee Janzen’s and Todd Hamilton’s, both major winners) and if she can just shake off her “handlers” to concentrate on LPGA for the next 5 years I think she’ll impress us all.

Wait a minute, I’ve got it – let’s invite Michelle to the Canadian Open next year!

Kill 2 birds with one stone…

I don’t understand why the people around her would allow her to put herself in these situations. As a young woman who is already under enough pressure to perform at the top of her game in ladies events, I can’t believe that anyone who cared for her would not try and talk her out of playing in men events. I don’t think that poor showings (last in the field) will do much for her self esteem and will eventually have a negative effect on the way she plays on the ladies tour.

I do think that women should be allowed to play in men events if they prove that they can compete (ie, making the cut) however I think that michelle is at least 10 years from being at that level.

I think that she has had her chance at giving it a go and should focus on the LPGA and school at the moment.
